After a marathon cooking session on Friday, everything came together for my niece's 4th birthday party. Since it was her first real celebration, we went completely overboard — and it was worth every minute!
🍭 Candy Buffet & Party Food Ideas
The impressive candy buffet was definitely a crowd-pleaser. We created an epic dessert table with pink princess cupcakes, black and white pirate cupcakes, strawberry macarons, marshmallow pops, princess crown cookies, and pirate skull cookies. The kids' eyes went wide when they saw it all laid out!

We decked the tables in playful pink polka dots with bold black-and-white stripes. I crafted all the little labels, thank you cards, cupcake toppers, and flag bunting to match the theme perfectly. The princess and pirate combo was a hit with both boys and girls!
🎂 Castle Cake Showstopper
The hero of the day was definitely the princess castle cake. My sister-in-law and I tackled this ambitious project together using the Wilton Romantic Castle Cake set. We made everything from scratch, including all the delicate fondant flowers! The bottom layer was vanilla and the top was strawberry butter cake. We spent the afternoon assembling the castle cake, and the payoff was huge — it looked absolutely magical.
By the end, even the kids were saying it topped every party they'd been to. The birthday girl was over the moon, which is what mattered most!
