Marshmallow Pops
I’ve recently discovered the world of kids parties! My niece is turning 4 in a few weeks and having a princess birthday party, which spurred me to look online at some kids party sites and I have to say some of them are truly amazing! The detail and effort that goes into some of these kids parties is just unbelievable. Special mention goes to http://www.karaspartyideas.com
Whilst looking at these kids party sites I came across Marshmallow Pops and thought what a great idea! They look fantastic and they are so simple to make – a marshmallow dipped in chocolate and decorated as you like. And as we know, kids love anything on a stick!
Marshmallow Pops
Ingredients:
– Bag of pink and white marshmallows
(try to get the biggest marshmallows you can find as I find some brands can be a bit small)
– Chocolate
– Decorations like sprinkles, edible flower toppers, smarties, chopped up nuts, coconut etc
Method:
Skewer each marshmallow onto the end of a stick (preferably use lollipop or cake pop sticks, however I used bamboo skewers as that was just what I had on hand). Melt chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water, once the chocolate has melted, dip each marshmallow into the chocolate to around halfway. Decorate the top however you like, but do it straight away whilst the chocolate is still melty so it sticks.
I used white chocolate and decorated mine with a combination of sprinkles (some completely covered, some with just a scattering of a few) and some I topped with edible flower cupcake toppers. You can use anything you like to decorate, smarties are also a good option as they look like a little jewel on top, or you can dip them in milk chocolate and roll in coconut or chopped nuts.
Enjoy! x
So cute!

This is amazing! can you describe how you made the edible flowers?
The flowers are actually cupcake toppers that you can buy in most supermarkets
Lovely recipe.
